SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.
The Scottsdale Plaza Resort in Arizona recently completed a major renovation to all of its standard guest rooms. The resort sits near Camelback Mountain and offers 40,000 square feet of meeting space.
Sheryl Bettencourt, director of marketing for the resort, says all of its more than 220 standard rooms now include glass-walled showers, expanded closet space, mounted TVs and granite counter space.
“We also just added conversation seating and fire pits out by the main pool area,” Bettencourt said, adding that guests definitely appreciate the updates to the rooms and property.
The 400-room (180-suite) Scottsdale Plaza Resort is now working on renovating and updating the Villa, Bi Level and Patio Suites. Bettencourt says the updates should be completed by fall 2016.
The upcoming changes will include new Sleigh-style beds and matching dressers, all new furniture, artwork and lighting in the living room areas, new in-room charging stations and many of the upgrades that were featured in the standard rooms—like mounted wall televisions and new plumbing fixtures.
The Suites at Scottsdale Plaza Resort also include in-room refrigerators and separate living rooms. On cooler nights, beehive fireplaces help set a cozy mood. In addition, the independently owned resort offers five pools, tennis courts, a putting green, fitness center and a salon and day spa.
