Halcyon Hotel Makes Denver Debut

CHERRY CREEK, Colo.

Sage Hospitality and BMC Investments announced the opening of HALCYON, a hotel in Cherry Creek, an independent concept in Cherry Creek North, the luxury shopping district of Denver.

The 154-room hotel touts premier accommodations, locally curated programming and partnerships, Departure Elevated—a rooftop bar, accompanying pool and two restaurant concepts—Departure Restaurant + Lounge and Quality Italian. Halcyon’s tagline is “luxury served on the unassuming side.”

“Halcyon is that friend’s incredible house in Colorado you’ve always wanted to visit,” said General Manager Cindy Bedan. “Guests who enter our hotel will feel the cultured comfort of the neighborhood and we could not be more excited to bring these elements of Cherry Creek’s character to life.”

Halcyon’s on-site Gear Garage amenity program, allows guests to dive into the destination of Denver through hands-on learning of various skills and immersive adventures on a complimentary basis. Guests can borrow an e-bike for the day and cruise down the Cherry Creek Bike Path to local breweries or hop on a Halcyon Vespa to catch a Rockies game or a meeting downtown. Led by ambassadors of the local experience named Halcyon Hosts, Gear Garage will continue to evolve with seasonal updates.

“There has not been a new hotel built in this neighborhood for more than 13 years and there was a distinct need for a modern luxury, independent hotel that truly evokes everything that is Cherry Creek,” said Matt Joblon, principal and CEO of BMC Investments. “This part of Denver is evolving so fast in so many positive ways, that it needed a hotel like this as an anchor.”

As an urban retreat and a first in Cherry Creek North, Halcyon’s rooftop bar, Departure Elevated, and accompanying pool “offers an escape from the world below, and a new look at the sky above.”

Within the hotel, guests and locals can partake in Halcyon’s two distinctive culinary concepts—Departure Restaurant + Lounge and Quality Italian. Denver’s newest modern Asian kitchen created by Sage Restaurant Group, Departure aims to take guests on a global dining adventure. Meanwhile, Quality Italian will be a modern take on the Italian-American steakhouse tradition. Set to open later in 2016, the restaurant references the flavors, style and tableside flair of this classic genre with unique design.

Halcyon offers 6,500 square feet of meeting, event and banquet space for up to 300 attendees.
