JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga.
The 157-room Holiday Inn Resort at Jekyll Island recently launched its 3,000-square-foot event space at the Beach House, which has already become a popular stop for fresh local seafood and rotating and seasonal craft beer options.
“I am extremely excited to be a part of the revitalization of this amazing property, first with the Holiday Inn Resort opening, now with our own independent restaurant and meeting space,” said Food and Beverage Director Luke Kelly. “With our added 3,000 square feet of event space, we will be the perfect spot for weddings, family reunions and company meetings.”
The new event space’s decor takes inspiration from the surrounding community, mimicking the look and feel of the area’s island beaches and a laidback feel for networking and doing business. Both the Beach House and adjacent event space were part of a $22 million renovation at the property, which began in March 2015.
The new event space at Holiday Inn Resort at Jekyll Island includes:
- Ballroom (3,000 square feet) can be converted into classroom (200 people), theatre (333 people), banquet rounds (200 people), reception (312 people) and can fit 19 8’ x 10’ exhibits.
- Ballrooms A, B, C (1,000 square feet each) can be converted into the following; classroom (67 people), theatre (111 people), banquet rounds (67 people), reception (99 people), conferences (24).
- Board Room (373 square feet) holds 10 people.
In their leisure time, event attendees can enjoy the salty breeze with the Beach House’s outdoor shuffleboard, bocce ball lawn, and porch and patio seating. Additionally, The Tap Room at Beach House features 24 draft beers, including an array of craft brews that can be enjoyed alone or paired with food selections. The resort’s other dining options already include The Anchor, a beach bar located poolside, and Northshore Café, a coffee and cocktail concept featuring birds-eye views of the Atlantic.
