CLEVELAND, Ohio
The 206-room Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland started work on a major renovation that will be completed in phases with updates to its meeting facilities, guest rooms, lobby and dining and gathering areas.
The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland’s transformation is scheduled for completion in spring 2017.
A recrafted hotel arrival area and a makeover of its ballrooms will be the first enhancements to be completed. These first reveals are scheduled take place between July and November 2016.
Transformation of the hotel’s seventh-floor meeting space and Fitness Center is also already underway, and these completions are set to occur in stages between now and late January 2017. For attendees wishing to exercise while the hotel Fitness Center is being enhanced, complimentary access will be provided to an alternative fitness center located within close walkable proximity to the property.
In the second stage of the phased renewal, guest room interiors will be unveiled, inspired by the blue hues of Lake Erie and enhanced by technological features. Final guest room upgrades will take place from January 2017 through April 2017 and will complement new ultra-luxury mattresses, televisions and TV streaming technology that were put into place in guest rooms earlier this month.
An additional phase of the hotel makeover is scheduled for early November 2016 to June 2017 and will present not only a new dining concept but also a new front office, lobby and concierge experience.
The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland will remain open throughout its transformation for meetings, conferences and events scheduled for late this fall and beyond. The hotel is part of downtown Cleveland’s Tower City Center, owned by Bedrock, Dan Gilbert’s Detroit-based real estate company.
In total, the property features 19,910 square feet of event space.
