KANSAS CITY, Mo.
Marriott announced that a combined 153-room Courtyard hotel and 108-suite Residence Inn hotel in Kansas City, Mo., will open this Friday, August 26. Located at 1535 Baltimore Avenue, the hotels are owned and managed by Chartwell Hospitality of Franklin, Tenn. The 10-story property will share a large indoor swimming pool, a fitness center and 3,050 square feet of flexible meeting or event space.
Located in downtown Kansas City in the historic Crossroads Art District, the hotels offer convenient access to the Sprint Center, the Power & Light District, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts and the Kansas City Convention Center/Bartle Hall. This is the first brand-new hotel to be built in downtown Kansas City since 1985 and the only hotel on the new Kansas City Streetcar route.
"Attracting both business travelers as well as tourists, the Kansas City area is an ideal location for the dual opening," said Janis Milham, senior vice president, modern essentials and extended stay brands for Marriott International. "Each brand offers distinct amenities and services that tailor to all visitors."
Amenities at the Courtyard include free Wi-Fi and in-room tech charging stations, alongside the continental breakfast and high-speed Internet access available at the Residence Inn.
