Los Cabos Tourism Names Managing Director

LOS CABOS, Baja California Sur, Mexico

On Friday, September 30, the technical committee of the Los Cabos Tourism Board, whose members are Genaro Ruiz (state tourism secretary), Enrique Turcott (president, AHLC), Ricardo Orozco (AHLC), Javier Olivares (ASUDESTICO), Miguel Ángel Hernández (secretary of finance) unanimously decided, after reviewing several prospective candidates, to appoint Rodrigo Esponda Cascajares, who has extensive experience in destination marketing, to head the organization as its managing director.

Esponda officially took charge of the Los Cabos Tourism Board, on Oct. 3, 2016. He last served as the regional director of the Mexico Tourism Board, as part of a career spanning 16 years with the organization; now, he will focus his efforts on promoting Los Cabos as a world-class destination, working on delivering a strategy to further develop and increase the destination's awareness worldwide.

The Los Cabos Tourism Board said that Esponda's appointment will help further its growth.
