NATIONAL HARBOR, Md.
Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center announced the appointment of Brad Mettler as its new director of sales and marketing, effective immediately.
Metter will oversee the resort’s onsite sales team and spearhead the department’s strategic planning to generate room nights for the nearly 2,000 room hotel.
“Brad has an amazing track record for leading his teams to success,” said Doug Ridge, area general manager of Gaylord National Resort and AC Hotel National Harbor. “He brings a wealth of knowledge in the group, leisure and international markets that will prove invaluable to the leadership and profitability of the sales team at Gaylord National Resort.”
Mettler brings with him more than 21 years of experience in the hospitality and hotel management industry, working for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. For the last three years he has served as the director of sales and marketing for the Grand Hyatt New York. He also has received numerous awards for his leadership including earning his teams a nomination for Sales Team of the Year at three different properties. Prior to his role in New York, he held the director of sales and marketing position at Hyatt properties located in Waikiki, Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, Calif., San Diego, Calif., Albuquerque, N.M. and Greenville, S.C.
Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center is the largest, non-gaming hotel and convention center on the East Coast and features 500,000 square feet of convention space.
