Irvine Marriott Unveils Room Renovation

IRVINE, Calif.

With autumn now in full swing, Irvine Marriott invites travelers to fall into the most modern rooms available in Southern California. After the Irvine hotel's $23 million renovation, Marriott's brand-new accommodations boast a fashionable blend of minimalist and coastal elements.

Customized artwork, hardwood floors, sleek light fixtures and a muted color palette of white, brown and blue aim to showcase a contemporary and calming atmosphere for visitors staying at the hotel.

In addition to stylistic upgrades, the rooms are now more functional. Expanded desk spaces and ergonomic chairs allow professionals to work productively and comfortably, while built-in luggage counters and open closets offer a more organized and spacious approach to travel.

Scott McCoy, general manager of Irvine Marriott, said he is enthusiastic about unveiling these changes.

"This multimillion dollar renovation has been years in development and it'll be so rewarding to display our vision and hard work to the public,” McCoy said. “We want to enable visitors to have a brilliant travel experience and blur the lines between work and play. This is just the beginning.”

Irvine Marriott is preparing to roll out more upgrades in the future to complete its structural transformation. While guests can already take advantage of the comfortable year-round weather at the outdoor swimming pool, remodeling plans are underway to create a covered area for hosting parties, wedding receptions and cocktail mixers. The hotel will be the first Marriott property to boast an exterior entrance for the M Club, an exclusive lounge offering complimentary food and beverages for Marriott Rewards Gold and Platinum Elite members or upgraded guests. Travelers arriving via the hotel's free shuttle service from John Wayne-Orange Country Airport will be introduced to new arrival areas as well.

When guests book one of the newly renovated rooms, they will have access to a number of attractions. Travelers can attend an Anteaters game or stroll around the campus of UC Irvine. Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre hosts several of the nation's biggest festivals and artists. Families and leisure travelers will also appreciate the hotel's close proximity to “the happiest place on earth,” Disneyland.

The Irvine Marriott offers nearly 30,000 square feet of total event space.
