CHICAGO
Hilton announced the opening of the dual-branded Hampton Inn by Hilton Chicago Downtown West Loop and Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown West Loop on North Jefferson, between Randolph and Washington, bringing a total of 336 new rooms to the heart of downtown Chicago.
The dual-branded hotel also offers 6,200 square feet of flexible meeting and event space.
The properties are owned by a joint venture between Chicago's Jupiter Realty Co and Boston-based InterContinental Real Estate Corporation. The hotels are managed by Hostmark Hospitality Group.
"Chicago has presented a prime opportunity for expansion, coming on the heels of a record-breaking year for Chicago tourism in 2015," said Phil Cordell, global head, Hampton brand management, Hilton.
The dual-brand concept is said to create larger communal areas than what would be standard at a standalone property. Guests at each property have access to the Sky Fit fitness center, indoor pool and the property's outdoor Fulton Garden Terrace. The hotel has two distinct lobbies offering two separate check-in desks as well as dining areas—each catering to the needs of their respective guests.
Hampton Inn by Hilton and Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown West Loop offer guests access to local attractions like Randolph Restaurant Row, the Willis Tower, The United Center, Chicago Riverwalk and The Chicago Theatre District. The hotel is near River North Entertainment as well as State Street's Block 37 and one mile from shopping on Magnificent Mile.
For business travelers, the dual-branded property is also near corporate offices for Google, Boeing, PepsiCo, the Illinois Medical District and the future headquarters for McDonald's.
