Grand Wayne Convention Center announced the appointment of Marissa Best in the newly created role of guest experience manager, a position designed to engage guests and to help create a unique and memorable experience.
Best, formerly with Oakwood Resort in Syracuse, Ind., steps into this role to guarantee client satisfaction and ensure that guest needs are met at Grand Wayne Center’s “beyond expectation” level.
In this position, Best will partner with the planners, staff, community partners, and guests in creating unique experiences to make each event memorable. As an additional resource offered to all clients, its key role is to help transform their meetings, conferences, and conventions into exceptional experiences and is another way the Center is setting a higher standard among event facilities.
“Our goal is to help our clients achieve the best event possible and for our guests to have a unique, memorable experience during their time in Fort Wayne,” shares Bart Shaw, executive director, Grand Wayne Convention Center. “With the addition of our Guest Experience Manager, we believe we will go beyond our already award winning exemplary service. In just the short time of implementing this position, Marissa has helped create more connections with our guests and enhanced their experience at Grand Wayne Convention Center and in Fort Wayne.”
Grand Wayne Convention Center is located in downtown Fort Wayne and features 225,000 square feet of meeting, trade show and convention space, including a 50,000-square-foot, divisible exhibition hall, 18 meeting rooms, as well as a 12,000-square-foot kitchen with on-site chef and staff to serve up to 3,100 banquet guests.
