ORLANDO
Scheduled to open this winter, the reimagined Planet Hollywood Observatory located in the heart of Disney Springs will offer meeting planners five innovative event spaces for groups of all sizes.
The renovated building’s exterior is reminiscent of a turn-of-the-century observatory with a modern design aesthetic and the interior will feature four stories of space-age design and memorabilia. Whether event planners are seeking indoor or outdoor options, the newly redesigned space aims to heighten the visitor experience and is ideal for everything from small semi-private gatherings to full buyout events.
“We are thrilled with the vast and unique meeting and event space options that Planet Hollywood Observatory will bring,” said Robert Earl, founder and chairman, Planet Hollywood International. “The five completely different spaces have been expertly designed to accommodate groups of all sizes and our amazing event staff has been trained to deliver the most memorable experiences groups can have.”
The five available event spaces within the Planet Hollywood Observatory include Stargazers bar, which touts 20 different taps with an eclectic selection of Florida craft brews and nightly live entertainment; an expansive main floor; and two outdoor patios. Additional highlights include a state-of-the art, 4,500-square-foot immersive video wall that can be used for corporate messaging, stylish furnishings featuring spherical planet-shaped lighting fixtures and an interactive DJ spinning nightly on the main floor.
Reimagined menu items available for groups are as impressive and customizable as the space, and feature an expansive selection of appetizers, entrees, sides and desserts ranging from plated Gulf Crab Cakes and Remoulade Sauce, Filet Mignon with Roasted Shallots and Truffle Mac and Cheese to abundant buffet options such as Citrus Kale Salad and Apple Peppercorn Medallions.
Planet Hollywood Observatory will overlook the heart of Disney Springs, an eclectic mix of unique shops, one-of-a-kind restaurants and lively entertainment at Walt Disney World. The venue was originally expected to open in fall 2016, but its opening date was pushed back to finalize renovations.
