TownePlace Suites by Marriott Ames opened and will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Hotel Development, Inc.

The floor-to-ceiling TowneMap in the lobby helps guests get acquainted with the area with ideas for places to eat, play and explore in Ames. The property is located five minutes from the Ames Municipal Airport and 10 minutes from historic downtown featuring restaurants, bars and shopping. The new hotel offers guests convenient access to the Hilton Coliseum, Reiman Gardens, Iowa State University and Jack Trice Stadium.
Ideal for travelers who need accommodations for longer stays, this new property offers studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens, as well as separate living/working and sleeping areas. The suites feature full kitchens with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, adjustable work spaces with built-in shelves and lighting and a large flat screen television. Most rooms also feature the Home Office Suite, designed to provide guests with plenty of storage and flexible space to spread out and make it their own.
