Hotel Palomar in L.A. Begins Renovation

LOS ANGELES

Hotel Palomar Los Angeles – Beverly Hills, located just minutes from the heart of Beverly Hills on the Wilshire Boulevard, is embarking on an $11 million property-wide renovation this winter. The encore performance of the design-driven boutique hotel, set to debut Feb. 2017, features the launch of a new dining concept as well as a comprehensive renovation to all 264 guest rooms and public spaces.

“Hotel Palomar’s complete renovation will reflect the rhythm of Los Angeles, layering the rebellious spirit and energy of a studio sound stage with subtle cool, sophisticated California style,” said Ed Virtue, general manager of Hotel Palomar Los Angeles. “We can’t wait to invite locals and travelers alike to experience our new unconventional character and bold vibe as they create their own stories.”

A tribute to the film industry seen through an industrial-modern design lens, the reimagined Hotel Palomar Los Angeles – Beverly Hills will draw inspiration from the maverick world of independent film with cinematic moments infused throughout the hotel and restaurant. Materials, such as scaffolding sourced from old sound stages, will be repurposed and crafted into various sculptural elements.

Theatrical lighting and layers of black steel, corrugated metal panels and aluminum will aim to provide a sophisticated juxtaposition against a subdued neutral color palette. Leading the redesign of the Hotel Palomar Los Angeles – Beverly Hills is the award-winning, Seattle-based Dawson Design Associates.

Hotel Palomar Los Angeles Beverly Hills features meeting and event space that rangers from a large ballroom that can hold up to 200 in a theater setting to more intimate 6th floor meeting rooms.
