Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa announced the appointment of Fred Findlen as its new general manager.
A veteran of Hyatt Hotels and Resorts with a wide-ranging background in the hotel industry, Findlen brings 31 years of hospitality experience following numerous management positions held at Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in the U.S. and international properties. Findlen has been with Hyatt since 1985, most recently serving at General Manager at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino in Incline Village, Nev.
“Fred brings a wealth of knowledge of Hyatt Hotels and Resorts to Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa,” said David Nadelman, area vice president and general manager, Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa. “His extensive background in managing Hyatt resorts across country in tropical destinations will provide fantastic value in enhancing the award-winning resort and team.”
Findlen began his career at Hyatt as a corporate management trainee in 1985. Since then, he has climbed the ranks, holding various positions with the Hyatt Regency Orlando, Grand Hyatt Washington, Hyatt Regency Washington, and Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, Fla.

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa offers 806 guest rooms and more than 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space. The resort recently underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation and was awarded LEED-EBOM Silver level certification, positioning it at the forefront of sustainability in Hawaiian hospitality.
