Training might be on the cutting block, but that is no reason to throw up your hands and say, “Oh well, my employer won’t pay for it” which is a common refrain I hear from job search clients. YOU and you alone are in charge of your career destiny. If there is a class, workshop, certification, training, etc. that is critical to your continued career growth, you MUST invest in yourself. Because you can’t count on any one else to do so.
