Kristen Thompson has been appointed director of sales & marketing of Rosewood Baha Mar, which will open in 2018 as the collection’s fourth property in the Caribbean.
In this role, Thompson will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative sales and marketing initiatives.

Thompson joins Rosewood with over twenty years of experience in the hospitality industry. Most recently, she spent more than nine years with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts where she held various managerial sales and marketing roles at Four Seasons properties around the world, including director of marketing at Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo and director of sales at Four Seasons Hotel Denver, Four Seasons Resort Vail, and Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta.
Prior to her tenure at Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Thompson served as director of sales and marketing at both the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Midtown Hotel in Buckhead, Ga., and the Embassy Suites Denver Tech Center in Denver, Colo.
Thompson studied at West Georgia College, School of Journalism and has received special certifications in hospitality sales and revenue management.
Rosewood Baha Mar will open in 2018 as part of the Baha Mar Resort, a $4.2 billion integrated resort development which includes three global brand operators – Grand Hyatt, SLS, and Rosewood. Amenities of the beachfront destination include 40 restaurants and lounges, the largest casino in the Caribbean with over 100,000 square feet of gaming space, a 200,000-square-foot convention center, an 18-hole Championship Jack Nicklaus Golf Course and Golf Club, the first ESPA flagship spa in the Caribbean, and over 30 luxury retail outlets.
Rosewood at Baha Mar will offer traditional British Colonial architecture and interior styling, up to 200 beach view rooms and suites, five beachfront villas, signature dining venues, pools, Sense, A Rosewood Spa and eight meeting and event spaces, including a 4,950-square-foot ballroom.
