MGM Grand broke ground on an expansion to its convention center that will add 250,000 square feet of meeting and event space, which will bring its new grand total to 850,000 square feet of meeting space.
According to Las Vegas Sun, the expansion will include a 5,500-square-foot outdoor courtyard, a 49,000-square-foot ballroom, a 32,000-square-foot ballroom, three junior ballrooms and 11 breakout rooms.
The new convention space is expected to open in November 2018.
