The Camby named Joe Martin as the food & beverage director.
In his new role, Martin oversees operations for Artizen Crafted American Kitchen & Bar, the rooftop Wade Poolside Bar and the property’s banquet operations.
Bringing more than 20 years of experience in the industry, he is instrumental in leading an unrivaled culinary management team in addition to further elevating guests' dining experiences at the Phoenix hotel.
Most recently, Martin held positions as food & beverage director at Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort and Spa in Paradise Valley, Ariz. and the boutique Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach, Calif.
In February 2017, Martin’s professional journey brought him full circle to where his career launched at The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix, only this time the property is now The Camby.
Martin studied Hotel & Restaurant Management at Scottsdale Community College and has worked high profile culinary events, including venues such as the James Beard House in New York, Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Colo., and countless events for presidents, professional athletes, and A-listers.
The Camby features 263 guest rooms and 14 suites along with more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space. The 7,728-square-foot Camby Ballroom can accommodate 650 guests.
