ROUND ROCK, Tex.

Kalahari Resorts and Conventions announced the addition of Kimberly Britton as the company’s first associate in the Southwest. Britton will fill the role of director of sales for the brand’s planned Round Rock location and will be responsible for assembling the presale team, while introducing Kalahari’s meeting and convention experience to the local and regional area.

Kalahari announced its intention to locate its fourth property in Round Rock, Tex., in June of 2016.

“We are extremely excited to welcome such a well-respected, proven leader like Kimberly Britton to the Kalahari Resorts family,” said Todd Nelson, owner of Kalahari Resorts and Conventions. “Kimberly’s extensive background in creating unparalleled meeting experiences, paired with her ironclad ability to cultivate relationships and foster success will be essential to Kalahari’s expansion – not only in Round Rock, but beyond.”

Britton brings more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry to her role. She joined Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Austin, Tex., as director of revenue management in 2006, ascending to the role of director of sales and marketing in May of 2008.
