Kalahari Resorts and Conventions announced the addition of Kimberly Britton as the company’s first associate in the Southwest. Britton will fill the role of director of sales for the brand’s planned Round Rock location and will be responsible for assembling the presale team, while introducing Kalahari’s meeting and convention experience to the local and regional area.
Kalahari announced its intention to locate its fourth property in Round Rock, Tex., in June of 2016.

Britton brings more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry to her role. She joined Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Austin, Tex., as director of revenue management in 2006, ascending to the role of director of sales and marketing in May of 2008.
Britton spent 30 years with Hyatt Regency, holding numerous management positions including: director of sales at the company’s Cleveland at The Arcade property and senior sales manager at Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk.
Kalahari Resorts and Conventions have locations in Wisconsin Dells, Wisc., Sandusky, Ohio, the Pocono Mountains, Penn., and coming soon to Round Rock. The authentically African-themed Kalahari Resorts, privately owned by the Nelson family, is home to America’s largest indoor waterparks.
