LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels are getting rid of “Do Not Disturb” signs, among other security changes, according to local news affiliates WFLA, WESH and WTSP. The signs will be replaced with “Room Occupied” signs and employees will be required to enter all hotel rooms at least once a day, with "reasonable notice."
The move is meant to “ensure guest safety” according to Walt Disney World News Today.
Guests at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort—three of Disney’s monorail resorts near the Magic Kingdom—will notice the change immediately. Other Walt Disney World Resort Hotels will roll out the new security measures in coming weeks.
