SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.
The Scottsdale Plaza Resort announced the conclusion of a three-year property improvement plan.
In 2015, standard rooms received a makeover by replacing bathtubs with glassed walled showers, new flooring throughout vanity and shower area by Heritage Interiors, expanding the closet and vanity bathroom areas with more square footage, new accent chairs for seating area and desk by Living Spaces. New framed vanity lighted mirrors by Electric Mirrors, granite on wet bars and vanities by Arizona Tile as well as the addition of in-room refrigerators completed the improvements.
Then in 2016, there were upgrades to the Suite Category of rooms which included all new furniture, artwork and lighting in the living room areas, new in-room charging stations and many of the same upgrades that were featured in the standard rooms.
This past summer, the property embarked on upgrading all of the common areas, including ballrooms, front desk, lobby, meeting spaces and restrooms. This included all new furniture, lighting, flooring and wall covering.
The Gift Shop was renamed The Market and serves grab and go food and drink, assorted coffees and offer specialty food products from the region. Crafts and gifts from local artists are also for sale.
The new public spaces were unveiled at an Open House this past November for meeting and events professionals with guided property tours, cocktails and culinary demonstrations and drawings for room stays.
The Scottsdale Plaza Resort is situated on 40 acres of landscaped grounds and features over 40,000 square feet of flexible and functional meeting space. There are five pools, a full-service spa, onsite tennis courts and championship golf just steps away.
