Angela Daniels

SAVANNAH, Ga.

Savannah International Trade and Convention welcomed Angela Daniels as its new director of sales.

Daniels has over 27 years of hospitality sales and marketing experience. She comes to Savannah from Daytona Beach, Fla., where she was director of sales, marketing and event services for the Ocean Center, a 200,000-square-foot convention center. Before joining the Ocean Center in 2011, Daniels served for 20 years as director of marketing of a 740 room luxury hotel.

Daniels is a community leader. She served as an officer or director of almost every significant local organization, including the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce. She was President and founder of the Volusia County Florida Public Relations Association, President of the Boys & Girls Clubs, and President of the Women’s Initiative. Daniels is now President of Convention Sales Professionals International, the national association of convention centers and CVB marketing professionals.

Daniels’ sales and marketing team will book events for the 330,000-square-foot Savannah International Trade & Convention Center, located on the riverfront overlooking Savannah’s famed historic district. The award-winning facility is managed by the Georgia World Congress Center Authority--which also manages the 3.9 million-square-foot Georgia World Congress Center and 21-acre Centennial Olympic Park.
