White Lodging announced the appointment of Niels Vuijsters as new dual general manager of the Le Méridien Denver Downtown and AC Hotel Denver Downtown.
Vuijsters brings two decades of hospitality experience to the dual-branded hotels, which opened in September of 2017 as the first physical representation of the Marriott and Starwood merger.
“My career began at a Le Méridien property in Amsterdam, and I couldn’t be happier to be returning to the fold in the Mile High City,” Vuijsters said. “Both AC Hotels and Le Méridien are renowned brands that represent the very best in hospitality around the world, and I’m excited to help bring that excellence to Denver.”
Most recently, Vuijsters served as general manager and director of F&B at the Kimpton brand’s Palomar Hotel in Phoenix.
“His passion for food and beverage execution and overall experience makes him an incredible asset to the property and the team,” said David Lanterman, White Lodging regional vice president.
Conveniently located in the vibrant downtown neighborhood near the Convention Center, Denver Performing Arts Complex, and Union Station, Le Méridien Denver Downtown and AC Hotel Denver Downtown has 495 hotel rooms and 12,000 square feet of meeting space. In addition, it is home to four unique dining and bar venues, including an upscale full-service restaurant with patio seating lead by Chef Tobias Burkhalter, and 54thirty, the highest open-air rooftop bar in Colorado.
