MARCO ISLAND, Fla.
Olshan Properties announced the appointment of Steven Falciani as general manager of the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa. In his new role, Falciani will report to Ernie Catanzaro, Olshan’s Head of Hospitality.
“I’m honored to be appointed as General Manager of the world famous Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa, one of the grand dames of the Florida Gulf Coast and great American family beach resorts,” commented Falciani. “As the Resort’s exciting renovations near their completion I’m excited for the upcoming season when the doors reopen and I can lead the team here to introduce guests, both repeat and new, to our new brand of luxury hospitality, ‘island style redefined’.”
Falciani joins Olshan Properties most recently from the Dow Hotel Company where he served as area director and general manager for the DoubleTree by Hilton Rosemont, Ill., and the Embassy Suites Rosemont, Ill. Before that he was senior vice president of franchise operations for 70-plus location restaurant group, Quaker Steak and Lube, located in Sharon, Pa.
In just a few months, the resort will reopen following a $40 million renovation. The 310-room resort will offer a revamped arrival experience in the lobby and upgraded accommodations, all with expanded gulf-front views throughout the property. As part of this substantial re-do, Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa will introduce all-new oversized luxury family suites with connecting room options on the rooftop level as well as poolside suites with spacious, verdant verandas.
Completing the extensive renovation is the new dining establishment, open some months, now, The Deck at 560 Bar & Restaurant, an expansive indoor/outdoor space. A corresponding grab-and-go outlet, 560 Market, will soon be unveiled.
The resort boasts 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 5,200-square-foot ballroom.
