BRASELTON, Ga.
Château Élan Winery & Resort, the 16th century-styled château and full-service winery nestled among North Georgia’s foothills, announced the addition of hospitality veteran Joe Velasquez to its executive team as director of sales and marketing.
In this role, Velasquez will be responsible for planning and implementing the Braselton icon’s sales, marketing and product development strategies, while also overseeing all sales staff, to deliver maximum revenue and generate brand awareness.

Velasquez brings more than two decades of luxury experience and relationship building to his role at Château Élan, after most recently serving as director of sales at the Venetian in Las Vegas.
Previously, Velasquez held general manager positions in Santa Monica and Hollywood, Calif., as well as director of sales and marketing titles for the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale, Ariz., and The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii.
Velasquez’s distinguished hospitality career also boasts an eight year tenure in directorial positions for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, during which he was nominated for Hyatt’s Director of Sales and Marketing of the Year award for his tremendous success in rebranding and repositioning the Park Hyatt Los Angeles.
