JACKSONVILLE, Fla.

Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront hotel announced Megan Spears as the new event sales manager. The hotel also expanded its sales team with the addition of five others: Quentin Jones as its new business travel sales manager, Shannon Jones as the new associate director of events, Nyree Armoreda as its new marketing and e-commerce manager, Melanie Brickner as the new group sales manager, and Courtney Skinner as the new meeting connections sales manager.

Megan Spears comes from Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, where she last held the position of event sales coordinator. She started at Grand Cypress in 2014 and has also worked as a recreation attendant and front desk host.

In his new role as business travel sales manager, Quentin Jones will manage the total business travel market segment, including National accounts and Crew. With a lengthy background in hospitality sales, and previous Hyatt experience working in markets such as New York City and Washington D.C., his ability to thrive in ever-changing, fast-paced markets will make him a great addition to the hotel.

Shannon Jones began her Hyatt Career in 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines as an events assistant and events coordinator. In 2015, she was promoted to Hyatt’s flagship Unbound Collection hotel, The Driskill, as an event planning manager, and later event sales manager. After a brief time working for an Austin-based technology company, Shannon rejoins Hyatt here in Jacksonville.

As the marketing and e-commerce Manager, Nyree Armoreda will support the entire hotel, particularly the sales and events team. A Jacksonville native, Nyree comes to Hyatt with a strong background including hospitality and real estate digital marketing, website design and graphic design.

In her new position as group sales manager, Melanie Brickner will be responsible for fostering new and existing client relationships for large group bookings in the Southeast and Florida state association clients. She began her career at Hyatt in April 2016 as a meeting connection sales manager at Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch.

As the meeting connections sales manager, Courtney Skinner will be responsible for fostering new and existing client relationships and for small group bookings. She has previous experience in selling the local Jacksonville competitive set.
