Hutton Hotel Shows Off Renovation

NASHVILLE

The iconic four-star Hutton Hotel Nashville showcased its renovation with a 5,000-square-foot music venue and writer’s creative spaces developed in partnership with Red Light Management, along with a new bar and restaurant offering an inventive take on traditional Southern cuisine. The design of the current and new spaces, curated by Studio 11 Design, was extended to the hotel’s public areas, music venue, writers’ rooms, guest rooms, and suites to offer residential comfort with vibrant Nashville style.

“Hutton Hotel Nashville is continuing to redefine how guests experience Music City,” said Jonathan Bartlett, general manager, Hutton Hotel. “The combination of exceptional service, residential-style rooms, a music venue for displaying creativity, an inventive dining experience and the writing spaces for artists serve the needs of our life-long clients and fosters a new generation of Hutton fans who are seeking inspiration from their travel experiences.”

Hutton Hotel’s lobby was reconcepted by Studio 11 Design to offer communal areas where guests can congregate, socialize or wind down, complete with a music library and a curated art feature wall to explore. Contrasting elements and colors - urban and handmade - create a space that is both captivating and familiar.

The redesign continues into the hotel’s 250 guest rooms and suites. The rooms are residential in feel and offer eccentric design elements mirroring the vibrant energy of Nashville itself. Offering some of the largest guest rooms in Nashville, the new color palette washes walls with soft blue and gray tones. White tiled bathrooms, with glass enclosed rain-head showers, offer new bath products by Triumph & Disaster.

New to the hotel is the three-bedroom Hutton Suite. The two-level suite offers guests amenities such as a full kitchen, living areas, floor-to-ceiling windows with east-facing views, and European-style showers with full soaking tubs. Each of these suites comes with the signature Hutton PA (personal assistant) to help you plan your stay from start to finish. Hutton Hotel’s two signature Penthouse Suites are oversized one-bedroom accommodations. These rooms were updated with a new design and color palate of blue-grays, white marble and rich bamboo woods mirroring the residential feel that began in the hotel lobby.

WestEnd Kitchen and Bar, set inside the hotel, offers an inventive take on traditional Southern cuisine. The food at WestEnd draws inspiration from the culinary team’s southern heritage. Keeping the commitment to quality high, WestEnd’s menu offers familiar southern-inspired flavors using local and organic produce sourced seasonally from regional farms. A vibrant cocktail program and spirit menu with a focus on whiskeys, including a custom-blend Belle Meade Bourbon by Greenbrier Distillery, complements the evolving seasonal flavors and ingredients used in the dining menus. The restaurant’s design uses bold elements such as metallic floor tiles, iron and brass finishes around comfortable dining banquettes and tables. The original reclaimed barn wood floor was refinished during the renovation to preserve the Hutton character.

Leading the cocktail and spirits culture of the hotel will be Beverage Manager and Head Bartender Megan Cross formerly of Old Lightning in Los Angeles.

Nashville’s newest music venue asks its guests to experience Music City in a different way; through connection. Part social club, part music venue, Analog has three simple requests: live in the present, connect to your surroundings and embrace spontaneity. Set on the grounds of Nashville’s iconic Hutton Hotel, long a mecca for the creative, the 5,000-square-foot, 300-person venue has interiors developed by Studio 11 Design in partnership with Tuck Hinton Architects. The flow of the space deliberately encourages a connected communal experience. Under the direction of Red Light Management and by using best-in-class music professionals to design and implement the venue’s sound equipment; the live music experience will be unparalleled. The color palette of eclectic jewel tones provides energy as well as contrast when the lights are lowered for a performer to hit the stage, further enlivening the intimate space. Embodying the relaxed ambiance of a living-room liveset, Analog is a home away from home for anyone who appreciates the creative process, and fittingly, the live performances on regular rotation in the space.

Nashville’s Music Row district is anchored by a new set of creative spaces – the Writers Studios. Concepted by Dierks Bentley and Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic and brought to life by Studio 11 Design, the Writers Studios are fully outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and offer distinctive Hutton Hotel hospitality. Meticulous thought went into every inch of the room to be ideal for capturing music whenever inspiration strikes. This includes isolation areas for guitars and vocals with recording capabilities. Inspired by Bentley’s Arizona roots, the Martin Room uses Saltillo tile and layered Navajo area rugs to create an inviting space to play custom Martin guitars. Tedder’s design, inspired by urban industrial lofts uses natural materials while the artist-selected custom Gibson guitars invite guests to create from day to night.
