Bryan Gay was named senior vice president of sales and conventions at SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino and the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nev.
In June of 2016, Gay was appointed the vice president of sales at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino and in April of this year, the Meruelo Group purchased the SLS Las Vegas, and with that purchase, Gay took the role of senior vice president of sales and conventions for both properties.
In this new role, he oversees the Sales, Convention Services, Catering, Banquets and Audio Visual at both Grand Sierra Resort and SLS Las Vegas Hotels & Casino.
Gay holds nearly four decades of experience in the casino resort industry. Originally from Northeastern Pennsylvania, he attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and graduated with a degree in Marketing. Gay was part of the opening of The Mirage Hotel and Casino and was recruited to participate in The Mirage’s Management Associate Program (MAP). Upon completion of the MAP program, he joined the opening team at Treasure Island Hotel and Casino where he held his first sales position as Sales Manager.
In 1996, he joined the team at Caesars Palace and held the position of national sales manager until the spring of 2000 when he joined Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino as senior national sales manager on the opening team of the fifth largest convention center in the country. In 12 years with Mandalay Bay and being part of the MGM Resorts team, Bryan worked his way to become vice president of sales at The Mirage and Mandalay Bay.
The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino features 2,000-room resort boasts over 200,000 square feet of meeting space, a 2,500-seat theater. SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino offers over 1,300 guest rooms and more than 80,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
