Paradisus by Meliá announced the appointment of Jaime Piedras to general manager of The Grand Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real. As a long-term employee of Meliá Hotels International, Piedras’ 20 years of luxury experience will serve as a welcome wealth of knowledge for the property’s official launch.
“Having worked with Jaime for over two decades, he is the perfect candidate to successfully take on this project,” said Alvaro Tejeda, regional vice president, The Americas, Meliá Hotels International. “With his grasp of our brand’s vision and goals, we fully trust that he will do an excellent job.”
Prior to joining The Grand Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real, Piedras was the general manager of Paradisus Los Cabos where he successfully opened the property in 2016 and assisted with the property’s enormous success including joining The Leading Hotels of the World.

Currently undergoing construction to complete the $110 million exclusive vacation experience, The Grand Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real is set to debut this December. The new experience will offer guests upgraded accommodations ranging from 800 to over 3,000 square feet, including the addition of The Grand Reserve’s Swim-Up Suites. There will be seven new dining concepts, including a ceviche bar, a modern steak house and an Asian-inspired concept.
