Events DC, the official convention and sports authority of the District of Columbia, announced the hiring of Stacey Knoppel as director of convention management at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. In this role, Knoppel will oversee the organization of conventions services through the coordination with show management, service partners and internal teams.
Knoppel joins Events DC from the Baltimore Convention Center where she served as the director of sales, service and marketing. She is currently on the Board of Directors of the Capital Chapter, Professional Convention Management Association and is a member of the International Association of Venue Managers and International Association of Exhibition and Events.
