ARIA: From the Land of Oz to Stages Across the Globe

Heading into another incredible week with Meetings Today! Our inaugural Michael Cerbelli’s: The Hot List™ newsletter and article were so well received—thank you all for the kind words.

For my second favorite find choice in partnership with Meetings Today, I decided to dive into the Michael Cerbelli’s: The Hot List™ vault and introduce you to a great musical act to consider booking for your next conference, meeting or live event.

Every time I have produced this act they get rave reviews and standing ovations. I just produced a show with them for 850 couples in Italy and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Next up, I will have the musical group performing on the 21st floor of a loft in New York City, with their backdrop being the Manhattan skyline for 132 guests at an intimate dinner.

Four handsome men, all from Australia. No, it’s not a “Chippendale’s Type Show From Vegas”...

It’s ARIA (Aussies Reunited in America).

When a group of four Aussies decided to hang up their performance shoes, putting away their tuxes and trading in years of international touring experience for a less-nomadic lifestyle, they had no way of foreseeing that their paths would cross some four years later on the other side of the Pacific.

As good mates, Scott Fields, Craig Hendry, Liam McLachlan and Jason Short spent much of the 2000s traveling the world with the acclaimed Australian vocal group, The Ten Tenors. After performing in over 25 countries around the world and more than 250 shows per year, the four performers decided to go their separate ways.

As luck would have it, they all ended up in the USA, and—to cut a long and nap-inducing story short—the lads reunited in 2012 to perform for a one-off charity gala in Texas.

One gig turned into two, two into three, and before long they realized they’d stumbled onto something pretty special. Thus, ARIA was born. The group has performed at major conventions and numerous industry events.

ARIA’s four unique voices combine to bring an entertaining blend of opera and pop, exploiting the versatility and range each of them brings to the quartet.

The group offers a modern, amusing twist on a classical sound, never taking themselves too seriously: “We love to take a pop song and then throw in some opera over the top.”

At ease with a diverse repertoire ranging from Puccini to Philip Philips, these (relatively) young lads from Oz pride themselves on delivering a musical experience that is raw, honest and, well, let’s face it, often vocally thunderous. After all, they are from Down Under.

These lads bring limitless musical possibilities with a dash of Aussie charm.

This … is ARIA. I love these guys and so will you. Until next time.

As with all of my favorite finds, ARIA is #mcapproved.
