HOLMDEL, N.J.
Destination Hotels announced the appointment of Tricia Tierney as director of events, Jennifer Garrabrant as events manager and Judith Vargas as accounting manager of the recently debuted Events at Bell Works.
Located in New Jersey’s largest “Metroburb” of Holmdel, the iconic Bell Labs building, the newly unveiled property features over 110,000 square feet of highly flexible indoor function space and an additional 10,000 square feet of outdoor event space. The building recasts the relationship between workspace and community and offers a technology-inspired infrastructure alongside carefully crafted amenities designed to foster communication, inspire creativity and facilitate collaboration.
“We are thrilled to welcome our newest team members to Events at Bell Works,” said Joe Santore, managing director. “The combined experience and invaluable knowledge of these women will be tremendous assets to this reinvented and innovative development.”
Tierney will oversee all facets of the Events, Conference and Catering Division. She joins Events at Bell Works from Omni Hotels & Resorts, where she served on the Conferences Services teams at Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C., and Rhode Island’s Omni Providence Hotel.
Prior to Omni, Tierney held the position of director of convention services at New Jersey’s Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club. During her 10 years at Connecticut’s Dolce Norwalk, Tierney held several roles including director of rooms and planning & event operations manager.
As Events Manager, Jennifer Garrabrant will be responsible for coordinating and executing corporate meetings, catering events, and group family functions. Most recently, she was part of the sales and marketing group, LiteWing Naturals, moving from outside sales manager to director of sales and events.
Previously, Garrabrant held the role of catering sales manager at Ocean Place Resort and Spa in Long Branch, N.J., and Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, N.J.
Judith Vargas joins Events at Bell Works with experience in accounting and finance from her prior positions at Present Highlander Equipment Co., Gamka Sales Co. Inc., and several hotels including New York Hilton Midtown, Crown Plaza of Saddle Brook, N.J., and a DoubleTree Hotel in Somerset, N.J.
The Bell Works building features a dramatic open-atrium design scheme providing a beautiful and vibrant setting for a community that combines pubic areas, retail, dining and unique work spaces, housing some of the regions most notable emerging companies and start-up brands. Breaking ground later this summer, a new Destination Hotels property at Bell Works will feature 186 guest rooms, a signature restaurant, a 13,000-square-foot rooftop bar, luxury spa, and game room.
