2019 brings a new wave of luxury international properties that can also accommodate meetings and events. Here are a some that made Forbes Travel Guide’s Most Anticipated Hotel Openings of 2019.
Mandarin Oriental, Doha is set to open by spring 2019 with 249 guest rooms and over 17,000 square feet of event space. The property will boast nine culinary experiences, two rooftop pools as well as a full-service spa.
Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens is opening on the Athens Riviera at the end of March 2019. This is the first hotel in Greece for the Four Seasons brand.
The waterfront Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens will offer private beaches, three swimming pools, a tennis academy, basketball court and spa.
The 303-key hotel will boast 40,655 square feet of meeting and event space that can accommodate up to 550 guests, including three ballrooms and seven function rooms.
Orient Express Mahanakhon Bangkok will debut in late 2019.
This is the first property for the new brand from Accor Hotels will be set within the King Power Mahanakhon Building, the city’s tallest tower.
The 154-key Orient Express Mahanakhon will feature a wellness floor, two dining options as well as a rooftop restaurant and bar on the 76th floor. Guests and groups will have access to Mahanakhon Skywalk, an observation deck and attraction on the building’s top floors.
Rosewood Hong Kong will debut in March 2019 as the brand’s flagship hotel in Hong Kong. The 65-story property will feature 413 guest rooms, 33,880 square feet of meeting facilities.

The Rosewood Hong Kong’s 10,700-square-foot pillarless ballroom will be able to accommodate up to 1,000 guests and there are eight additional multipurpose rooms.
The tower will also house a two-story spa as well as eight restaurants and bars.
The Westbund Hotel Shanghai is gearing for a summer 2019 opening in the city’s artsy West Bund neighborhood. The Rocco Forte hotel occupies the top floors of the building.

The Westbund Hotel Shanghai will include a pool in the 51st-floor spa, 218 guest rooms, four dining concepts and function space for up to 780 guests.
The hotel's meeting and event venues include an 11,600-square-foot grand ballroom, a 7,200-square-foot junior ballroom and an outdoor terrace.
