What’s New in Madison for 2019: Hotel and Event Venue Highlights

Madison, Wisconsin, is an emerging destination for Midwest meetings. Here’s a run-down of what is new in the area for planners considering the city for their next event.

Madison

The Greater Madison Convention & Visitors Bureau recently changed their name to Destination Madison.

According to the CVB, the name tells meeting attendees that Madison is a place to seek out, explore, and brag about to their friends.

Hotel Indigo Madison Downtown is expecting to open in early May 2019.

The 144-room hotel is located within the historic Mautz Paint Company and will have 1,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The property will also offer a bistro with outdoor seating and serve local distilled spirts and craft brews.

Madison’s first Home2 Suites by Hilton is scheduled to open in late summer 2019.

Home2 Suites by Hilton Madison will feature 143 suites and is across from the Alliant Energy Center Complex with convention and event space. 

Waukesha & Pewaukee Area

The Ingleside Hotel, formerly the Country Springs Hotel, completed a 14 million-dollar property renovation. The project included a new lobby, the 194 guest rooms, more than 40,000 square feet of meeting space and the new Didi’s Supper Club.
