Rosen Hotels & Resorts is offering special discounted rates at its eight Orlando-area hotels for those affected by Hurricane Dorian. The special distress rates are offered when a tropical storm or hurricane warning is in effect for any area in Florida, not just the Orlando area.
The offer will remain in effect for as long as necessary to those who are displaced after a storm. The distress rate includes free Wi-Fi and a pet-friendly policy that includes no additional pet fee.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency August 28, 2019, and at the time of publication the National Hurricane Center said the hurricane was predicted to make landfall in an area that is near the same latitude as Orlando.
Tropical-storm-force winds could arrive in Central Florida as early as Saturday night, August 31, with the eye landing on Monday, September 2.
The discounted rates and attention to those in need during a crisis should come as no surprise.
