Located in the heart of downtown, the 575-room Westin Indianapolis is currently undergoing a massive, property-wide renovation to transform the hotel’s public spaces and meeting venues, as well redesign all guest rooms and debut new dining options.

This major renovation will be unveiled in three phases, with the first phase to be completed early this summer, the second in September and the third in December.

The renovation begins with a fully lobby redesign, an overhaul of the property’s 39,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and the addition Ten Hands Social Bar & Eatery, which is set to open early this summer in time for the annual Indy 500. Designed by C+TC Design Studio, the renovations will pay homage to Indianapolis as “the crossroads of America.”

The carpet and lighting of the upgraded meeting spaces will showcase intersecting lines to portray Indianapolis’ White River flowing through the downtown cityscape and black metal embellishments to represent railroad tracks that converged in Indianapolis at the first Union Station.

In September, the hotel, which is connected to the Indiana Convention Center by skywalk, will also unveil a brand-new, 3,500-square-foot event space called Capitol Overlook, located on the second level and offering unparalleled views of the Indiana State Capitol.

By the end of 2021, the renovation of the 15-story hotel will be complete with a full renovation of all guest rooms.
