Visit KC (Kansas City) has recently welcomed Kathryn “Kat” Taylor as national account manager within the organization’s convention sales team, effective Aug. 1. Taylor will be based in the Washington, D.C., market.
Taylor, a hospitality and sales industry veteran, brings more than 13 years of experience to her new position. Prior to her role with Visit KC, she served more than eight years as senior national sales manager for the Midwest territory with Visit Baltimore, and also worked collaboratively with Baltimore Convention Center and the hotel community to secure meetings with significant impact on her community. Prior to that, she spent five years with Hyatt Hotels.
“Kat is a proven leader in destination sales, and her arrival will allow us to more aggressively maximize on Kansas City’s restored momentum, particularly in the critical D.C. market,” said Nathan Hermiston, senior vice president of sales and services. “With the 2023 NFL Draft and 2026 FIFA World Cup knocking at our destination’s door, we are witnessing new and renewed interest in the Heart of America, and Kat will help us translate that energy into meetings and conventions that will drive lasting economic impact to our community.”
Taylor graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University with a degree in hospitality management and is currently a member of Meeting Professionals International and the Professional Convention Management Association.
