Rosewood Hotel Group has tapped Andrew Girona as director of global sales. In this role, Girona will be responsible for managing the group’s leisure travel advisors in Florida and the Southeast U.S., as well as managing the group’s partners in Latin America, South America, Mexico and the Caribbean. Girona will also identify innovative partnership opportunities, provide brand-wide awareness and develop strategies for long-term success with travel advisors in the region. His appointment comes on the heels of high-profile activity in the Americas and worldwide, such as the announcement of Rosewood The Raleigh Miami Beach plus the openings of Rosewood Vienna in Austria and Rosewood.
Girona has more than 15 years of luxury hospitality experience with plenty of accomplishments along the way, including developing revenue streams through distribution from North America and international markets. Prior to his new role, he served as director of sales for Rosewood Baha Mar, in which he created and executed pre-opening sales and marketing plans while providing leadership and strategic direction in all sales markets. He originally got his start at Rosewood in 2014 as associate director of sales for Rosewood Bermuda. Prior to his time at Rosewood, he served as regional leisure sales manager at Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. His career in hospitality began in front office roles at luxury boutique hotels in Miami Beach, including The Betsy Hotel and The Raleigh, the latter of which he will again work closely with as it readies to relaunch under the Rosewood flag.
“It is a privilege to join such an incredibly talented team of seasoned sales and marketing professionals, and I am very much looking forward to extending my Rosewood experience into this exciting global role,” Girona said. “Over the years, I have established strong relationships with clients and guests around the world. I am excited to further strengthen these connections and create new ones while we continue to drive sales and marketing growth.”
“We are thrilled to have Andrew continue his journey at Rosewood as Global Director of Sales,” said SiuYin Ko, vice president of global sales at Rosewood Hotel Group. “Andrew has demonstrated a profound understanding of the brand’s core values over the last eight years working with Rosewood, and we are confident in his ability to provide leadership and build meaningful relationships to support the growth of our global portfolio. We look forward to seeing him achieve even greater success in his new role.”
