Accor, the largest hotel operator in the Pacific, announced the opening of Mercure Sydney Martin Place, a four-star hotel located in the heart of Sydney’s central business district. The 86-room hotel is situated near some of Sydney’s major attractions including Martin Place, Pitt Street Mall, Hyde Park and Circular Quay.
Mercure Sydney Martin Place offers 24-hour reception and high-speed unlimited Wi-Fi, as well as parking and laundry facilities and a 24-hour fitness center. Guests also have access to the hotel’s indoor rooftop swimming pool and sauna.
Mercure Sydney Martin Place offers a wide range of fully equipped meeting rooms with capacities from 14 to 400, as well as an outdoor terrace with city views that can be utilized as prefunction space. All meetings and events held at the hotel are carbon neutral and offer Mercure Sydney’s Mindful Meetings menu options for sustainability initiatives.

JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong, a flagship hotel of Marriott International, unveiled a revitalized and elevated stay experience with a new executive lounge and refurbished guest rooms. The 608-room hotel saw transformations throughout September that exemplify contemporary chic and elegance.
Guest rooms were renovated with a new color palette complementary of views of Victoria Harbor and Hong Kong’s cityscape, and all rooms are now equipped with seven-layer mattresses and six choices of pillows.
JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong also converted to a non-smoking hotel in an effort to echo the hotel’s commitment to caring for the health of its guests and the environment.

The hotel’s JW Marriott Ballroom measures nearly 8,000 square feet and can host up to 1,100 guests for a standing reception, and 16 other event and breakout rooms are available for booking, including two within the hotel’s new executive lounge.
Indonesia
New to Jakarta’s Golden Triangle district is The St. Regis Jakarta, which debuted late this fall . The hotel allows guests to experience “the soul of Indonesian culture” through music, dance, art, cuisine and more inspired by the country.
The 254-room St. Regis Jakarta is situated in the heart of Jakarta’s metro area, offering a new epicenter for luxurious travel as an extension of the St. Regis brand through St. Regis Butler Service, Afternoon Tea, The Bloody Mary, Evening Ritual and other experiences that uniquely represent the hotel and its surrounding destination.
The hotel offers nearly 29,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space across eight event rooms, including the 15,000-square-foot Astor Ballroom, which can host up to 1,500 guests for a standing reception and 700 banquet-style.
Spaces at Sun Street
Sun Street Hotel, a new five-star property on the borderline of Shoreditch and London, opened its doors in mid-October as the latest addition to the Bespoke Hotel brand. The hotel offers a sensitively restored Georgian terrace complemented by eclectic and modern interiors.
Each of the hotel’s 41 guest rooms blend luxury and comfort with king-sized beds, Oxford pillows, coffee machines and twice-daily maid service. Guests can enjoy a menu created by Head Chef Stuart Kivi-Cauldwell, known for his work at Borough Market’s Roast Restaurant, in the intimate wood-paneled Sun Street restaurant offering modern British cuisine.
Smaller groups can meet and gather at the glass-roofed Orangery, adjacent to the Sun Street Hotel’s main restaurant, or find a quiet space inside or outside The Bar. The hotel’s Club Room features armchairs and artwork, similar to the hotel’s Library, where groups can also convene.
Private dining can be reserved for groups of up to 12 people, and Sun Street Hotel’s Tasting Room can host small cocktail parties and receptions for up to 15.
