Visit Sarasota County (VSC) board of directors has voted to appoint Erin Duggan as the president and CEO.
Duggan has spent 18 years with the company, having served as the vice president for 14 years prior to her promotion. In her time at VSC she has been a part of creating initiatives to better the company, including Savor Sarasota Restaurant Week, which has been occurring annually since she started with VSC. She has also helped create award-wining public relations and marketing campaigns.
Duggan’s experience includes serving on the Board of Directors for Destinations Florida, the Board of the Society of American Travel Writers and VISIT FLORIDA Marketing Council. Also claiming a title in 30 Under 30 in Sarasota Magazine’s 2007 edition and a spot in the Tampa Bay Business Observer’s 40 under 40 in 2016.
“I want to thank the community search advisory committee that assisted the VSC Board in this process”, said Nick Mavrikas, chair of the VSC Board of Directors. “In Erin Duggan, we have selected a leader in the tourism industry who will be able to take this organization and Sarasota County to the next level into the future.”
