PCMA and CEMA President and CEO Sherrif Karamat announced that former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton would open day two of the Convening Leaders 2024 convention in San Diego.
The format of the Clintons’ presentation will be a conversation with Karamat. According to a press release, the conversation will cover a wide breadth of topics, including leadership, international relations, the global economy and the importance of meetings and events for the free exchange of ideas and democracy. The Clintons will also share the PCMA mainstage with actress and Jeopardy! host Mayim Bialik.
“President Bill Clinton and 67th Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will share their reflections on pivotal moments in history, discuss pressing global challenges and illuminate the path toward an inclusive, sustainable future for all and how important meetings and events are to the free exchange of ideas and democracy to help shape a better tomorrow,” said Meghan Risch, chief of staff and vice president, corporate communications for PCMA.
Karamat also expressed his excitement about the Clintons’ appearance at the event.
“Over the years, PCMA has had the pleasure to welcome many incredible speakers for Convening Leaders,” said Karamat in a press release. “I am absolutely delighted to welcome President Clinton and Secretary Clinton with a platform to share their reflections on pivotal moments in history, discuss pressing global challenges and illustrate the path toward an inclusive, sustainable future for all.”
Convening Leaders is an annual conference hosted by PCMA that brings together business events professionals and leaders from around the world in a three-day convention featuring general sessions, educational tracks and networking experiences. The convention will be held January 7-10, 2024, at the San Diego Convention Center.
