Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, an MGM Resorts Luxury Destination and market-leading casino resort, recently completed a remodeling of its multi-use events venue on the 32nd floor of the property’s MGM Tower.
The Overlook, as the venue is aptly named, takes up the space that formerly housed Immersion Spa and has been transformed into a versatile area with tailor-made event capabilities. The Overlook has a 9,060-square-foot floor plan and features 28-foot floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Atlantic City’s Marina District and the Atlantic Ocean.
The MGM Tower at Borgata features 757 guest rooms and suites and 27,000 square feet of meeting space, as well as two indoor pools, two outdoor heated pools and five boutique retail shops.
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa offers 2,000 guest rooms and suites and 106,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 2,400-seat Event Center and 900-seat Music Box theater.

New York
High-tech day conference center company Convene expanded its venue at 101 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. The expansion is intended to meet the growing demand for professional gathering spaces for groups of up to 200 guests.
Convene 101 Park Avenue added a second floor to its location, growing the venue’s footprint to 23,800 square feet. The new mezzanine level, connected to the original space via a grand staircase, offers a large conference hall with full theatrical lighting and can accommodate up to 223 guests. The space boasts floor-to-ceiling windows and also features an open gallery for networking and food breaks inclusive of an unlimited snack and beverage bar and cafe-style seating.
Convene 101 Park Avenue is near Grand Central Station and now offers eight meeting rooms across two floors with a full buyout capacity of 583.

Pennsylvania
Philadelphia welcomed a new luxury boutique hotel to its growing hospitality package.
Riversuites, operated by the neighboring Rivers Casino Philadelphia, opened earlier this year in the city’s trendy Fishtown neighborhood along the Delaware River waterfront. The new hotel offers 62 apartment-style suites inside The Battery, a mixed-used lifestyle campus.
Riversuites also offers several traditional and unconventional amenities, including co-working areas, lobby gathering spaces and an indoor basketball court. The hotel provides easy access to the eight restaurants and bars at next-door Rivers Casino and added more than 40 permanent hospitality jobs to the casino’s existing workforce of more than 1,100 employees.
Also next door is the Event Center at Rivers Casino Philadelphia, offering just over 10,300 square feet of modern, state-of-the-art event space for up to 700 guests.

Washington, D.C.
The newly transformed Washington Marriott at Metro Center, situated in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C., completed a multimillion-dollar renovation that introduced a modern dining concept, Spotted Zebra: Kitchen, Cocktails & Contradictions, as well as enhancements to guest rooms and common spaces.
Enhancements to Washington Marriott at Metro Center introduced a new look and feel that can be seen in the property’s 459 reimagined guest rooms and suites, offering tailored, modern touches like multi-functional furniture and technology-enabled work surfaces.
The property redesign also includes a new state-of-the-art fitness center with Peloton equipment, as well as a refreshed indoor pool area, a revitalized Great room lobby and hotel entrance. Upgrades were also made to the modernized M Club, an exclusive space reserved for Marriott Bonvoy Elite and Club member guests that is open 24/7.
At the property’s new restaurant, Spotted Zebra, guests can enjoy a menu featuring a lineup of familiar yet elevated dishes and drinks named after the city’s political lore, such as the Founding Fathers Farm Chicken, Presidential PB&J, Swing State Salmon and Honest Man cocktail.
Washington Marriott at Metro Center offers nearly 13,500 square feet of meeting and event space across 14 event rooms, the largest of which can host up to 650 guests.
