Florida’s Iconic Diplomat Beach Resort Rebrands and Embarks on a Tropical Transformation

One of Florida’s most celebrated beachfront resorts, the Diplomat Beach Resort, has been rebranded under the Hilton umbrella as the Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort. The resort will also feature refreshed amenities to reflect its new era for meetings and events.

With its ideal location between two international airports and the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale markets, the iconic Diplomat has welcomed names such as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Liza Minelli, Jay Leno and countless others for more than half a century.

The most significant change for the resort is its shift to the new Signia by Hilton brand. It’s the fourth property in the United States to bear the Signia name following Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek in July 2021, Signia by Hilton San Jose in April 2022 and Signia by Hilton Atlanta Georgia World Congress Center in January 2024.

But the Diplomat’s transformation is much more than in name alone. The resort’s six-story and 1,000-room hotel tower, full-service spa and oceanfront conference center are all being elevated with new furnishings, paintings and enhanced amenities, bars, dining experiences and a tropical theme.

The resort will further enhance its event and meeting offerings with a series of upgrades that include refinished interiors, updated furnishings and elevated banquet and catering services. There will also be an addition of an oceanfront event terrace designed with paved and turf flooring, shade structures and state-of-the-art infrastructure.

The resort features 200,000 square feet of flexible event space, including grand ballrooms, beachfront terraces and the new Club Signia, which offers priority services, exclusive privileges and private access. Club Signia will be located on the 33rd floor with 6,600 square feet of terrace and indoor space and featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the Atlantic Ocean.

“We can’t wait to share our transformation with both new and long-time guests,” said General Manager Dean Lane. “It really is incredible how all the changes balance the history and beauty of this special place with all of these luxurious touches. The founders of the property called it a ‘one-stop paradise’ decades ago—and I think we’re definitely living into that vision.”
