Business Events Sydney Meetings Fund Launches in North America

Business Events Sydney (BESydney), the Australian city’s specialist business events bidding company, launched its Sydney Meetings Fund (SMF) offer for North America this fall.  

BESydney is encouraging travel agents and meeting planners to apply for funding through the SMF, which covers on-the-ground expenses for small group meetings and incentives held in Sydney through December 31, 2025.  

The SMF is designed to offset Sydney event costs to support travel agents and meeting planners of smaller international events held in the harbor city.  

To qualify for the SMF, events must have a minimum of 75 attendees, and the SMF will provide US$40 per delegate. The event also needs to be a minimum of three nights and not yet confirmed in Sydney.  

“Sydney welcomes smaller bespoke corporate and incentive meetings and will support these events by contributing to items such as venue hire, transportation or welcome dinners,” said BESydney’s Director for North America Rahul Shah in a press release. “Now is a great time to organize that bucket-list event in Australia and the SMF can make that strong U.S. dollar go even further.”
