With more than 4,000 guest rooms and 440,000 total square feet of meeting space, Frisco, Texas, delivers big for meetings—and its amenities for meetings continue to grow, from the recently opened Omni PGA Frisco Resort to forthcoming attractions like a new Universal Park.

Although Frisco is rapidly expanding, meetings still get the personalized, local touch when you work with Visit Frisco’s Destination Services team, which offers more than 20 services to assist planners. The DMO’s synergy with community partners makes a big difference, too.

“The fact that literally everyone in our community is willing to help is a surprise in and of itself,” remarked Lisa Bethea, director of destination services for Visit Frisco.

Following are some of the ways the Visit Frisco Destination Services team can help take your meeting to the next level.

Destination Services Support

Partner with Visit Frisco first when working through the initial details of your event. You’ll then have access to and the full support of the Destination Services team ensuring a special experience infused with local flavor.

  • Pre-event support: Community outreach, vendor referrals, name badge design, hotel convention services and banquet assistance, hotel and venue sales assistance, site inspections and offsite venue coordination.
  • Onsite event support: Virtual meeting component support, personalized site tours, restaurant listings and maps, safety protocol, teambuilding, welcome bags and visitor guides, welcome help for citywides and more.
  • Registration/Event support: For every 60 nights on peak, you will receive four hours of complimentary onsite event staff or personnel.
  • Post-event support: Reports detailing event impact, attendee surveys and more.

“Once we meet with our planners and understand what they're trying to accomplish and who their audience is, we can typically open up a whole new realm of possibilities, when you have a community like the Frisco community, poised to be of service,” Bethea said.

In November, Frisco welcomed Connect Texas, where some of Visit Frisco’s destination services were on full display, especially at the kick-off event at HALL Park Hotel, Autograph Collection, where nearly every detail of the evening was infused with the spirit of Frisco. Paired with Connect Texas’ “Ignite Your Senses” theme, the team incorporated elements including:

  • Essential oil-infused tattoos with apple cinnamon scent and butterfly and logo designs
  • Live screen printing for that special item to commemorate the event
  • A digital graffiti wall where attendees embellished their photos with artwork and designs
  • A performance from The Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blue Cheerleaders and a drumline
  • Beer tasting from Rollertown Beerworks

Plus a caricature artist, live musician and Bollywood dance performers rounded out the festivities.

Creative Fam Trips

The best way to explore destinations is on the ground, and the Visit Frisco team is no stranger to coordinating meeting planner fams to showcase everything Frisco can offer meetings and events.

In October 2024, the team hosted a group of planners from Australia. For many, it was their first time visiting Frisco, and one of the highlights of the visit was an unlikely detail—the transportation.

“Instead of using a shuttle to transport our planners around the city, we used 10 slingshots—that's a vehicle that kind of combines the feel of a motorcycle with the performance of a sports car. Incredibly fun,” she said. “It also created a little bit of buzz around the event because we drove through the city with a dedicated police escort. So we looked like we were somebody to see.”
