The largest private island resort in the British Virgin Islands, Peter Island Resort, completed a renovation that has transformed the property since its closure in 2017. Visitors can experience the resort’s new beachfront rooms and suites, two redesigned villas, an extensive Yacht Club, two restaurants and a 10,000-square-foot seaside spa.
In addition to the resort’s natural amenities, including five beaches, planners can also take advantage of the resort’s expanded meetings and events area able to accommodate groups of up to 180. The new oceanfront 3,000-square-foot conference center is flanked by two event lawns and an open-air veranda. The new facilities also include a dedicated onsite kitchen and flexible indoor spaces for breakout sessions.
Florida
Located in the Millionaire’s Row neighborhood of Mid-Beach Miami is the Hilton Cabana Miami Beach Resort, which underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation, transforming its public spaces, guest rooms, signature dining experience and more.
Known for its outdoor pool deck and third-floor terrace pool with views of the Atlantic, the resort also features 321 guest rooms and suites and over 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting event space. These venues include the 2,040-square-foot indoor Collins Ballroom and 4,142-square-foot Oceanview Terrace.
Sonesta Miami Airport unveiled a five-month, multimillion-dollar renovation of the property, including a transformation of each of the hotel’s 309 guest rooms, public spaces and amenities.
The hotel features amenities such as a rooftop pool and sundeck, a state-of-the-art fitness center and the newly opened onsite restaurant, Tailwinds, serving a curated menu of Latin-inspired dishes with locally sourced ingredients.
Sonesta Miami Airport also has more than 7,400 square feet of event space, including the newly transformed front room that now offers 2,100 square feet of space, two boardrooms offering 320 square feet each, five meeting rooms offering 1,100 square feet of space and the 3,300-square-foot Royal Palm Ballroom that is able to accommodate up to 160 attendees.
Virginia
Located in the heart of Old Towne Petersburg, Hotel Petersburg is a newly restored boutique hotel that features 64 guest rooms, a 24/7 fitness center and two onsite dining options with a new speakeasy-style bar coming soon.
Hotel Petersburg also offers a range of indoor and outdoor event venues, the largest of which is the 840-square-foot Cockade Room, able to accommodate up to 58 attendees. Other spaces include the 492-square-foot Shirely’s Lobby Bar that can accommodate up to 44 and the outdoor courtyard, able to accommodate up to 64. The historic hotel also offers comprehensive event planning, catering and end-to-end event support.
A Billion-Dollar Centerpiece
Pier Sixty-Six Resort is the centerpiece of a $1 billion redevelopment project that debuted in January following a property-wide transformation. The resort will offer one of the largest resort event spaces in Fort Lauderdale and become one of the few resorts in Broward County with a large amount of meeting and event space.
The 32-acre waterfront resort will offer 325 rooms and suites, a 15,000-square-foot spa, a Technogym-powered fitness center, multi-level pools, 12 dining options and one of the largest superyacht marinas on the Eastern Seaboard.
This is in addition to the property’s 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event venues, including the 9,395-square-foot Tavistock Ballroom. The resort also has a rotating Pier Top Bar on its 17th floor, offering 360-degree panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, making it a unique draw for groups.
Pier Sixty-Six also features wellness offers for groups, including private yoga and meditation sessions, sound bathing, chakra rebalancing and poolside cabana massages, along with educational programs like sustainability workshops and watercolor meditation classes. The resort also offers local experiences including a saltwater fishing excursion through its partner, HammerCat 35.
