Visit Corpus Christi (Corpus Christi, Texas) has named Brook Kaufman as the organization’s new CEO, with Kaufman set to assume the role on or before May 1.
Kaufman brings an extensive background in the travel and tourism industries, most recently serving as the president and CEO of Visit Rapid City in Rapid City, South Dakota, and previously as the CEO of Visit Casper in Casper, Wyoming.
While at Visit Rapid City, Kaufman led initiatives such as the development of the Rapid City Sports Commission, helping to create new branding for the organization and launching the Certified Tourism Ambassador Program.
“We knew we needed to find an experienced leader with the vision, marketing skill set and business acumen to help our community capitalize on all the opportunity that lies ahead,” said Richard Lomax, Board Chair of Visit Corpus Christi in a press release. “Brook brings all these traits and more with the energy we need to continue to push forward. The future is bright in Corpus Christi.”
The team Kaufman led at Visit Rapid City was also the recipient of the 2024 Culture Award by FiredUp! Culture, which highlighted Kaufman’s ability to cultivate a strong organizational culture and commitment to fostering high-performing, award-winning teams.
