Park Hyatt Shenzhen Opens in Southeastern China

Park Hyatt Shenzhen debuted atop a 48-story skyscraper in the heart of the Futian central business district in Shenzhen. The property is within walking distance of Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center and surrounded by corporate offices and luxury shopping. The building was designed by the New York-based architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and resembles a dynamic glass and steel butterfly with its wings spread against the Shenzhen city skyline.

Iowa's Merrill Hotel & Conference Center Joins Marriott

The Merrill Hotel & Conference Center, Muscatine, set on the banks of the Mississippi River, joined Marriott's Tribute Portfolio. The property is situated adjacent to the city’s River Walk Park in the city’s historic downtown. The hotel features 122 guest rooms, which include a Presidential Suite, Chairman’s Suite, Junior Suites, and have the flexibility of one, two and three-bedroom configurations.

Hilton Chicago Northbrook Completes Phase I of its Renovation

Hilton Chicago Northbrook unveiled phase one of a multimillion-dollar renovation, which introduced a refreshed look to its 20,000 square feet of function space and 249 guest rooms. Phase two of the renovation is set to take place in early 2020 and will include a complete revamp of the property’s restaurants, Allgauer’s on the Riverfront and Frank’s Place.

Hilton Columbus Downtown Undergoes Expansion

Hilton Columbus Downtown broke ground on a 28-story tower to create the first 1,000-room convention hotel in Columbus. Together with the existing Hilton, the hotel will offer 75,000 square feet of meeting space and will be the largest hotel in Ohio when it opens in 2022.

Convene Debuts in Washington, D.C.

Convene opened its first location within Washington, D.C., proper at Terrell Place. The space is Convene’s third location in the D.C. metro area and its first to feature its flexible workspace offering, Workplace, with 19 worksuites totaling 431 workstations.

Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia Opens at Comcast Center

Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center opened on the uppermost floors of what is now the city’s tallest building and 10th highest in the U.S. The entire Comcast Center building and the interiors and furnishings of Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia have been designed by world-renowned architect Norman Foster.

Philadelphia Marriott Debuts in the Old City Neighborhood

The Philadelphia Marriott Old City opened following its conversion from the former Sheraton Philadelphia Society Hill. The hotel has completed phase one of a multimillion-dollar total renovation, including the city’s introduction to the new elevated concierge lounge experience, M Club.

Houston Welcomes New Hotel Near the Convention Center

Cambria Hotel Houston Downtown Convention Center opened a short walk to the George R. Brown Convention Center. The 21-story, 226-room hotel is an adaptive reuse of the iconic Great Southwest Building, formerly known as the Petroleum Building. Located in the heart of the central business district, the Cambria Hotel Houston Downtown Convention Center is also near Minute Maid Park, the home stadium of the city's professional baseball team.

Curacao Marriott Beach Resort Nears Completion

The $37 million renovation of the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort is set for completion by fall 2019. The 328-room beach hotel in Curacao is positioned on six acres of oceanfront real estate. Upon completion, the hotel, which was purchased in 2017 by Piscamara Beach Resorts, will offer 328 newly reimagined guest rooms and eight suites designed by Mexico-based Arquitectura de Interiores.

Grand Hyatt Debuts in Vail

Grand Hyatt Vail opened, marking the second Grand Hyatt hotel in Colorado and the first in a U.S. mountain resort destination. The 285-room, ski-in/ski-out resort sits at the base of Vail Mountain on the banks of Gore Creek and offers guests their own ski lift, Chair 20, for convenient access to world-class skiing and snowboarding.
