New Hotel Hits Chicago’s Chinatown

CHICAGO

The brand-new, 101-room Jaslin Hotel with views of the Chicago skyline and a location close to McCormick Place, as well as a five-minute 'el' or taxi ride to downtown Chicago, recently opened for business.

The property, which opened its doors on May 4, 2016, is managed by The Bricton Group and Mark Lewis, an experienced hospitality executive, will join the Jaslin Hotel as general manager.

“The Jaslin Hotel is a stone’s throw from the best of Chicago,” said Edward Doherty, president of The Bricton Group. “Guests are within walking distance from the convention center, Lake Michigan, and the red line of the Chicago ‘el,’ which takes you straight to places like the Loop and Wrigley Field.”

The hotel’s unique location in Chinatown is a destination in itself. Built over a century ago by Chinese-Americans, Chinatown is one of Chicago’s most vibrant neighborhoods, featuring the best Chinese restaurants in the city, tea shops, bakeries, colorful gift shops, museums and art.

Visitors can explore the neighborhood with experienced tour guides, or plan their visit around cultural festivals like the Chinese New Year, Lunar New Year, the annual Dragon Boat Race and the Summer Fair.

The Jaslin Hotel features complimentary continental breakfast, free Wi-Fi, 11 king-bed guest rooms, 50 queen-bed guest rooms and 40 full-bed guest rooms. There is no mention of on-site meeting space.
