Cvent Names Top Meetings Destinations for 2018

Cvent released its annual lists of the top cities for meetings and events worldwide. Three new regions were highlighted this year: Caribbean and Latin America (CALA), Canada and Europe.

Following are the top 10 cities in the United States, based on sourcing activity through the Cvent Supplier Network. Most notably, San Francisco knocked Phoenix out of the Top 10 from 2017.

Top 10 Meetings Cities (United States)

  1. Orlando
  2. Las Vegas
  3. Chicago
  4. San Diego
  5. Atlanta
  6. Dallas
  7. Nashville
  8. New York
  9. Washington, D.C.
  10. San Francisco

Orlando, Las Vegas and Chicago retained the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively. As previously mentioned, San Francisco edged out Phoenix in the top 10 and a few destinations switched places.

Orlando has maintained the top position for four years running (since 2015).

In the larger top 50 list (available here), Aurora (Colorado), Detroit, Memphis and Burlingame (California) made the cut for the first time in the history of Cvent’s annual destination lists.

  9. Riviera Maya, Mexico
  10. Los Cabos, Mexico
